Our Community
Parents are an integral part of the PS 84 family. The school has a powerful, nurturing community, and a strong PTA that helps with fundraising and the implementation of programs and initiatives.
Students and parents feels proud to be part of the school and show it by wearing the PS 84 gear.
In addition to the fundraisers organized by the PTA, the school hosts an array of community-building free events for students, families, and teachers.

An opportunity for parents to engage with their children, and for the student to challenge themselves as well as their parents and peers.
Costume Parade
Each Halloween, parents watch the children parade in costume along the perimeter of the school.
Thanksgiving Feast
Families are invited to join the classroom for a potluck Thanksgiving meal.
International Night
An opportunity to share the foods, arts, and traditions of your family's heritage with our community.
Family Movie night
The school auditorium turns into a movie theatre for family-friendly shows.
Block Party
A family day of fun with food, games, music, face-painting and more!
Family Portrait Day
A fundraiser with family photos, crafts, food and a holiday market.

Annual Gala & Silent Auction
This fundraiser is an opportunity for parents to have a fun night out while contributing to the school.
Curriculum Night
Held at the beginning of the year, an opportunity for parents to meet all the teachers and learn about the curriculum for the current year.
Parent Engagement Day
Parents may make an appointment to discuss any individual questions or concerns with their child's teachers on Tuesdays after school.
